MaryB-
I think when a teacher creates a rubric the process of our "professionalism"
and judgement come through that rubric. The rubric makes it clear to the
student what is expected , so when they turn in an assignment they can't say
grading by the teacher is arbitrary.
The student must follow the skills and effort necessary to get an "A", and I
always make the "A" level include higher order skills and creativity.
So.....we are ultimately in full control-and the student chooses to what
degree they care to participate.
So I think were saying the same thing?
