Six-week curriculum

Hello all-

I know that I can look to all of you for wonderful advice:) I just took a
job in Henderson County, NC and will be teaching middle schoolers on a
six-week rotation. Is there anyone else out there that teaches on this
schedule? I am not quite sure how to construct a curriculum that covers
some of the pertinent info in only six weeks. I am mostly concerned that
the work will be superficial, unless I simply choose to cover only a few
media/artists/history. If I choose to cover only a few, who shall I choose?
I am not sure where to begin... Help!
