Larry,

You're "right on" and your post should be printed for every art teacher.

"If it is to be, it's up to me"........................fill the walls,
display cases! I even had 5th grades pretend they were famous artists at our
annual art show. A Shorewood ART PRINT was placed on an easel and children
were that particular artist for the night and were prepared to answer
questions about the painting styles, period, & biography of the artist.
The preparation was to choose an art print and research the artist so they
could be prepared. THEY LOVED IT! Parents did too! I had 2 artists
positioned at every hallway intersection! AND, of course, the walls were
covered with artwork from 1200 elementary students....3 pieces from each
child!
