If students are using hand held sharpeners where are the shavings going?
Are the students getting up and going to the trash can?

I couldn't see giving elementary kids an exacto knife, but I do use hand
held
sharpners. Much easier on the pencil. I'm the only one allowed to use the
regular sharpner and I never do during class time. It adds too much noise
to
the classrooms. JH
