I have my students collect imagery or resources for their concentration
project. They can earn extra credit points if they bring these to the first
day of school the next year. Have them write out the concentration idea and
put it in a folder, have them review it beginning of the next year and begin
work.

I might give them 5-10 sketch book assignments to do over the summer and give
them credit for doing them on the first week back.
