"Rainbow Fish" for illustrations to lead into patterned fish for Kinders.
Eric Carle for collage and textured papers. Same for Lois Ehlert. There are
several more books - I just don't have the names here with me. I use these
because they either gave me inspiration for a lesson and serve as my visual
for students, or they offer exceptional visuals. I believe younger children
are more inspired by a picture book than by a large artist's reproduction
(unless they can relate to the subject matter.)
