For me highlights of the NAEA convention beyond some of the outstanding
presentations, numerous hospitable receptions was the Glencoe/SRA
reception at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the collection
and exhibitions there were impressive; the Sat. keynote lecture by Jesus
Moroles, contemporary sculptor; touring the Torpedo Factory in
Alexandria; and the enviromental film series at the National Gallery on
Sat., (after viewing the Sergeant exhibit) were a hoot.
Last but not least before flying out of DC, Palm Sunday morning at St.
Matthew's Cathedral was also wonderful... the mosaics there are
beautiful!
Artfully yours,
