Hi there Jasmine

If the pots are not for food or water they can be "finished" in other
numerous ways that'll be quicker for you. Experiment on clat fragments
first with Shoe polish/cream ( rub on, wipe off), thinned down acrylics,
inks, wax resist, lipsticks, eyeshadows, oil pastel, tissue paper overlay,
permanent markers, patinas used for Faux bronzing. Seal with a thin layer
of varnish. Also you could smoke some of them in a sawdust firing, metal
garbage can, dry sawdust and 24 hours later BINGO authentic looking ancient
pots.!
