Hi fellow artists and art teacher
I am starting two after school inner city arts programs--mainly dealing with
printmaking--with a few visits to the Nelso Atkins and Kemper Museums of
Kansas City--I meet with each group once a week ages are elementar, junior
high and possibly some high school students--I am a printmaker myself but am
looking for some good lessons and ideas as starting points for projects for
the students on their level beside the basic typical lino cuts--projects can
relate to drawing and painting--it is a program to give the kids something
they can really walk away with feeling great about, learning to express
themselves and the hardship they face and endure daily, but also to teach them
critical think and a fine art--more than just doing a craft but some real
artistic knowledge they can use especiallyin going to the museum--anyway I am
open to any great ideas--individual and group projects that are fun and have
some good artistic value--thanks for listening and I would appreciate any
