As the old saying goes "misery loves company", I guess I'm looking for
One of my student created a magnificent ceramic dragon that he put in
many hours working on with my guidance along the way. I've been so
careful with it as I've been transporting it to our Art Fair and back to
the room. As I was packing it for him to take home today , one of the
wings hit the side of the box and broke into pieces! And the student
was right there in the room. I felt so bad and apologized many times.
I've glued back together, but can't believe it broke after all the care
I'd had taken. We had just talked about entering it in to a
competition, but now it has cracks in the wings.
Has this ever happened to any of you and how did you handle it?
PS. I guess it's just been one of those weeks- broke up a fight, ED kid
loses temper in class and a 14 hour day for the Art Fair then the dragon
breaks. Ahhhh, another week in the life of an art teacher-lol.
