Hi all-
I will be teaching a weaving workshop at a cultural arts center next week were
I am preparing the same lesson to essentially 2 different age groups. (they
stuck the older group in at the last minute)
The lesson is making wall hangings in burlap. The age group of the first
class are 3 - 5 year olds, really young I know. I plan to do some pulled
thread and weave different materials through like yarn, feathers, large
ribbons et... I will have them "sew" the piece with a yarn large needle to a
tree branch 3 or 4 stitches should do it.(I have an assistant) -- other
suggestions as well as how to finish the piece would be welcome. The second
group are 8-10 year olds and aside from a larger piece is there any way I can
make this project more involved. I have 40 minutes with each group. Actually
there will be three classes 2 will have the younger group (approx 20 student
per group, 18 in the older group. )

Thanks in advance.
