Gail, and others who have had carpal tunnel syndrome,
I would very much like to know what you have learned about your experiences
with it. Mine was diagnosed quite a few years ago after a period of much
note-taking, Christmas present wrapping, lessons on calligraphy, drawing, and
making many many little baskets with junior high school students. Seems
everything I like to do is bad for it.

Besides the vitamin that helps, I would like to know the pros and cons of the
surgery. I have heard massage therapists can treat it. Mine has gotten much
better, I baby it a little and use a wrist support at night if it gets
painful. It goes away then, as long as I'm not doing too much. The doctor
said it was pretty severe in one wrist when it was diagnosed. Can I be doing
permanent injury by not having the surgery? Does the surgery cause loss of
strength in the hand?
