jewelry making supplies

I'm a 2-D person who's going to be teaching a high school jewelry class. It's
been years since my jewelry class, but I've got to order the major pieces of
equipment soon. There doesn't seem to be a jewelry class offered Spring or
Summer in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area. I'd love to find one. Meanwhile I
have to order equipment and supplies. I'd appreciate some input. One item
I'm looking at is a Neycraft Fiber Furnace, which is a table top kiln for
copper enameling. What's the word on how well it holds up and fixibility?
Should these kilns be vented? Or only when....? Is a vacuum machine for
investing and casting better or worse than a centrifugal casting machine.
Saftey? This is a one semester class with students who have had a
minimum of one year of art in their whole educational background. Any great,
inexpensive resources for supplies of all types of jewelry making?
