Stephanie asks: "Has anyone confronted a loving, but butting
in parent before?"

When I was a younger teacher, I was timid about speaking up to parents in
similar situations. But now that I'm old enough to be the mother of these
parents, I don't hesitate in saying that their child needs to be the one doing
the work. I say it in a kind voice, but firmly...and they don't give me any
backtalk.
