kaleidoscope books

I know kaleidoscopes have been discussed before, and I have done them. I
was looking through a book on books last week and there was a picture of a
kaleidoscope book. It was a square that was hinged on the sides and
progressively opened up (like petals on a flower, in a radial pattern) so
that there were nine sections. Each had a center cutout, and then was
decorated with construction paper etc. Both sides of each section was
decorated in a radial pattern, so that as the book was opened, the design
changed. Like a kaleidoscope.

Has anyone seen this? Done it? I would like to try it with a class.
Thanks for any help.
