Melissa and Chandra-
I've never taught middle school except for syudent teaching where I had
an awesome experience with a cooperating teacher who built a fabulous
jewelry program up to 4 sections each semester. This was actually a Jr.
High 7,8,9, but I'd say that if you do something that they can wear
you'll get them. Although my experience involved metal working,
soldering, etc. I know there are all kinds of ideas floating around out
there for simple jewelry projects and maybe some people on the list can
help out here. Some starters: paper jewelry (layers of colored
construction paper, sand the edges), same thing with globs of paint from
the paint spray booth at the auto body shop, clay beads (I'm in line to
get a fabulous bead lesson from a colleagues student teacher which I'll
be happy to share when it gets here.) Anyone else?
