RE: materials request

Each classroom teacher has a budget and an amount of money to spent
each school on materials, supplies, textbooks, etc. They should be
encouraged to include paper, paste, paint, etc that they might need
durning the year.

When I received a request for materials, my response is, "I don't
have any to give away, but you could probably get it at the local
discount store." I get very few request now after telling teachers
this for the last few years.

I do share when I have an over stock and I know I won't have to have
the particular item, and I do make signs and provide services if I
have time. I'm not afraid to say "No" or " I really don't have the
time".
