Note: To protect the privacy of our members, e-mail addresses have been removed from the archived messages. As a result, some links may be broken.
WHAT AND WHERE ARE THE ARCHIVES?
All messages posted to ArtsEdNet Talk are available in the ArtsEdNet Talk Archives. These archives are located on the ArtsEdNet Web site at http://www.artsednet.getty.edu in the ArtsEdNet Talk section. You can also search these archives for specific topics (http://www.artsednet.getty.edu/education/teacherartexchange/Search/talk.html).
WHY AM I NOT GETTING ANY MAIL?
If your mailbox is always full (and we receive messages from your host telling us so for more than 5 days), you are automatically deleted from the list. We must do this for two reasons.
1) Many people don't know how to remove themselves from the list.
2) We receive hundreds of bounced messages each day for every subscriber that has either an invalid e-mail account or a full mailbox.
WHO'S MODERATING THIS LIST?
ArtsEdNet Talk has been and will remain unmoderated but we do reserve the right to remove people from the list who are hostile, rude, or create flame wars on this list.
RESPONDING TO MESSAGES
As a courtesy to others, please do not copy the entire digest in your response message. Please paste in only the pertinent information with your response and delete the rest.
WHY CAN'T I SEND ATTACHMENTS?
We would also like to advise you not to include attachments to the e-mails you send to this listserve. Many users are unable to access attachments; this includes everyone that is on the digest version or those who view ArtsEdNet Talk via the Web. Attachments are also a common way to catch and spread computer viruses. So please refrain from sending messages with attachments.
HOW DO I LET OTHER SUBSCRIBERS KNOW WHICH MESSAGES TO READ?
Please use message subject lines to indicate the content of your messages. If you are on the digest, please remember to change the default "ArtsEdNet Digest" subject to one that reflects the topic of your message. This helps everyone decide which messages to read and which to skip.
WHY CAN'T I POST TO THE LIST?
If you are having trouble sending your message to the list, please e-mail us at talk-admin so that we can confirm your proper e-mail account. Many times e-mail accounts have variations that make it difficult to do the automated removal and these variations will also now prevent you from posting to ArtsEdNet Talk.
HOW DO I GET OFF THIS CRAZY THING?
If you've changed your mind and you do want to be on the ArtsEdNet Talk list anymore, please send an e-mail to artsednet-request and type the word "unsubscribe" in the message area. If you are on the digest version, you need to send your e-mail to artsednet-digest-request.
WHAT WEB SITE?
Yes, this listserve is only part of ArtsEdNet's offerings. If you haven't visited the Web site, please check out http://www.artsednet.getty.edu. Many lesson plans, images, and other materials are available for you to print and use.
