I know this is off the topic a bit.
We are hosting a Judy Chicago Retrospective that includes
"The Dinner Party", "The Birth Project", "Powerplay" and the "Holocaust
Project". Many issues came up in our live discussion with the artist. The
students had been studying her for weeks and got to interview her on tape.

Yes, this work came up in my class this week as we discusses the work of Judy
Chicago. We were dealing with the "Freedom of Speech" issue and the "shock"
factor. We discussed how much artists chose to "push the envelope". Everyone
was stunned when one of my students said, "wasn't Hitler 'pushing' the
envelope". We were on camera with Judy Chicago and students were attempting
to get at the personal "drive" and motivation of her work.
