Diane, How are you handling the plaster? I have 8 classes of K (26 kids
per). My goal is to not prep in a major way. The more they do, the more
they learn.(?)
I'm almost done (6 classes down) with clay portrait tiles. Very good
results but......We learn about self-portraits using mirrors and divide our
faces. Draw. Then I roll out a 5"x5" clay tile for each.....YIKES. The
kids press a pattern a la picture frame around the edge. I bisque. Then
they draw their portrait with glaze crayons. (Expensive but good, they
last a long time.) I put a clear glaze over and fire. This year I am not
doing all K's at the same time. They will wrap in a hand printed lucnh bag
and home for Mother's day.
