Dear Art Education Colleague,

It is with enthusiasm that I invite you to attend a CRIZMAC seminar this
summer. Three exciting travel seminars, with optional graduate credit, are
available to rejuvenate your spirit and satisfy your sense of adventure. Each
program offers you the opportunity to experience art and culture on a uniquely
personal level.

Our seminars have a strong and successful tradition. For the last ten years,
approximately 300 teachers have traveled from all across the country to meet
in Santa Fe, NM for the "Celebration of Culture" workshop to experience the
art of the Southwestern American Indians. Over the past four years, more than
100 teachers have traveled with us on the "Passport to Discovery" trip in
Mexico. They have experienced the thrill of Mexican art and culture while
meeting renown folk artists and visiting exciting destinations. Our newest
trip, "Rainbow of Colors", takes a tour through the beautiful highlands of
Guatemala and acquaints participants with the genteel Mayan people who live
there. This trip is a special delight for any one who loves art, color, and
especially textiles.
The dates of the trips are:
Celebration of Culture: The Art & Culture of the Southwest
July 7—July 14, 1998

Passport to Discovery: Art & Culture of Mexico
July 22—August 2, 1998

Rainbow of Colors: The Art & Culture of Guatemala
August 3—August 13, 1998

Seminar notebooks with articles and lesson plans are provided, offering you
lots of resources when you return to your classroom. I can say without
hesitation that you will have an extraordinary experience. Please contact us
at (800) 913-8555 if you would like more information or visit our web site at
www.crizmac.com and see the page on Summer Seminars. (Or stop by our booth at
NAEA!) Deadlines for registrations are approaching, but spaces are still
available. We would love to have you as a part of our group.

See you this summer!
