Pat, I also discovered that brown grocery bags are great for wedging clay
and save on cleanup. Another tip that you may or may have not discoverd is
keeping works in progress in Rubbermaid 3 or 5 gallon storage boxes.
There is little loss of moisture over a short period of time. We don't
cover the pieces or add any wet rags. My ceramics is just part of general
art courses...no wheels or anything like raku..just simple hand built
pieces..I also use these same storage containers to store my clay...much
easier to move from storage to tables than the previous small garbage cans.
