I think I will try to kick in and do more art when I retire. I hope. Right
now, I can just about keep my head above water. I used to love oil
painting, but cannot do it at home anymore as my husband cannot take the
odors since he's been ill. I've tried pastel portraits and some
watercolors, but not enough. I go back and forth between keeping a sketch
book and not. Mostly too much to do at school and at home, but I love
reading about everyone's work and getting encouragement.

I did do a sample litho sketch to see if the materials work and I liked
the results. I think I will rework the piece until I get the effect I
want.

I hope I have 30 years left, but I am already 59 so time is ticking away.
I don't seem ready to retire yet. I'm hoping I have some of my mom's
genes; she is 89. Fran
