Dear Art Educators,
Someone wrote in about their use of teaching American History with Art (please
forgive me, I can't find the original message). This educational packet
sounds very interesting.

The Natural Palette: The Hudson River Artists and The Land

Invite your students to learn about America's heritage, guided by the
remarkable landscapes of the Hudson River painters and writers. This
interdisciplinary resource presents early American landscape art in its
original context of nineteenth century science, philosophy, literature,
and spirituality. Ecological issues are explored as students examine
their own interaction with nature. Features units in: Art, Language
Arts, Social Studies, Science, History.
