One project we have done with third and fourth graders is based on stained
glass windows. The children make their designs with attention to outlines
and attached areas. After doing a color study, the areas inside the outlines
are cutout of black construction paper and we use colored cellophane glued
to the back to give the desired effect.
Putting these "stained glass" panels on the windows can turn your room into
a gothic cathedral.
