Thanks for the wonderful ideas.
I really wanted to do some thing with plaster...not just plaster craft.I
have never done sand casting though. I planned on making something in clay,
then builing a wall of clay around it, then fill it with plaster...the result
would be a relif. Or using that method to make a mold. Then we can make
something from the mold..
I would love to try sand casting as well. but I have some questions:
1. what kind of sand?
2. do you have to wet it
3. can the sand boxes be cardboard, if they are sturdy and are duck taped
around the edges?
4. How large/small would you recomend the boxes to be?

and any other details you muster up.
I was thinking about doing paper making but I think that I might do something
else with the paper pulp...maybe making a design out of clay (like the method
I talked about earlier in this e-mail) and make a plaster cast of it...the
make a paper pulp sculpture in that mold...then we could paint it with acrylic
paints and such when done.
