"There is a major uproar in a suburban Illinois school regarding the
introduction of the work of artist Keith Haring to fourth graders. Any
opinions?"

While I can see where Keith Haring as a person could be very controversial,
his art is very child oriented. He believed each child should be involved
in the arts in some form. At least that is what I have read. He is one of
my favorite artists. I wear several of his images to school and my
students have heard a lot about his art from me. When they ask questions
about him as a person I have answered those truthfully. I teach junior
high (6th, 7th, & 8th) in a small East Texas town.
