making kids feel welcome

In my elementary school we have a number of minority students who I
would like to make feel as welcome as I can. Some children speak very
little English. We have a an ESL teacher on site to help with
transitions and language. Does anyone have suggestions of what I could
do to address this issue in a caring way? Ruth
