Diane--the hole needs to be very small. There is a formula, but the
book is at school. I have the kids make a box that is 6" in length=
focal length and the hole is (through foil) a #10 sewing needle--which
is tiny. Being perfectly round is important. Have them poke the needle
and sand several times till you can't feel any roughness. We made a
giant camera out of a refrigerator box and the hole was still very
small--about the size of a large safety pin.
