Dear Ann, thanks for writing so quickly. I found a State Curriculum Guide
booklet and in it it mentioned a Needs Assessment Survey with sample
questions. I altered it somewhat to reflect questions pertinent to an K-2
art curriculum which takes into consideration other aspects of my student's
life at school.I also include general recommendations. I feel pretty
comfortable with this. I do not indicate specific lesson plans or unit
plans but break it down into various areas which might deserve a needs
assessment.. Here's an example: section A reflects the needs assessment of
the nature of the creative arts k-2 program. section B reflects the needs
assessment of financial resources...section B reflects the needs
assessment of community resources... etc. Is this how you go about long
