One of my students, from a Carnegie Museum of Art Ceramics class, is
currently student teaching. Last week, at a job fair held here in
Pittsburgh, she signed on with a California school district and she will
be teaching in the elementary school there. During
class, she asked others if they had heard of this district and no one had.
However, I told her about my friends on the artsednet and said that I
would ask if anyone knows anything about the school district
she signed with.
The name of the district is the Moreno Valley School District in
Southern California (70 miles east of LA). Has anyone any knowledge of
this district and would you please describe it in a private e-mail to me?
I would truly appreciate your help.
I really must be getting old...in my day, back thirty years ago, you
knew a little about a place before even thinking of moving there...times
have changed, I guess. Teaching jobs are harder to come by and kids just
have a much freer attitude about transcontinental moves I guess.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to those who celebrate.
