Not a joke, but might give you a chuckle. I received a note from a child
telling me how much he loved art class(and me-one of the perks of working
with small children-they aren't afraid to express affection). One of his
sentences read "I love art because I get to pant."
Sometimes I get so excited about painting and art in general that I
"pant", too, don't you? And when my children see paints out in art class
they literally pant with anticipation.
Our music teacher and I are going to the NC Academy for the Advancement of
Teachers for the entire week next week to work on planning for the 98-99
school year, all expenses paid including substitutes. Wish I could take
some of you with me since there is so much expertise out there. Ann
