Hi Linda, I get a new group of students each quarter. We meet for four
days in a six day cycle. I teach seventh graders lanterns, mugs or
ceramic pots. When they are learning about the Greeks in social studies,
I have them build Greek Pots in art. With the students I get in the
spring, as they cover the Medieval Period, we might build medieval
castles or gargoyles. With your large class size, I would stick to
something simple such as mugs or tiles. Action figures on ceramic
tiles(6"X8") work out real well. You might also want to separate the
group in half and while doing ceramic's with one group, give something
which would not require too much instruction to the other group. Good
Luck! Nancy
