Try How Movies Work by Bruce F. Kawin, Understanding Movies by Louis Giannetti
or How to Read a Film by James Monaco. The Giannetti book would probably be
the best for students, but the other two are invaluable from an instructor's
point of view.

Looking for seconday teachers involved with screen (film) education. I
am currently teaching a course on film studies and would like to expand
the curriculum content of this course. This is first time teaching this
course and discovering the potential in integration with other subject
areas i.e. English, Literature, Visual Arts, Technology and
Communication. The course is currently being run without a textbook
or general resourse guide , do I am finding myself hunting for
appropriate materials related to film.

Does anyone know of any net sites that might offer information on this
subject or if you have information to share from your area and teaching
program.
