When i taught an oriental lesson I would do scroll paintings.So if you
did the lesson Diane suggested, Glue the top and bottom of the paper to
a Balsa wood stick,Wooden twig,Chopstick or whatever. Then attach yarn
(Preferable Homemade) or nice thin strips of material along the bottom
by looping the top over and pulling through string. Also I had the kids
stamp with modeling clay. Take a small amount of clay and have them
make a square or oval shape then with a pen or Skewer stick draw there
symbol. Stamp on (red stamppad) and put on print they've made.

Another Artist to look at is "Hiroshige".
