I recently did a drawing project with second graders and they had to
draw with permanent markers. I told them at the beginning this was
because we spent too much time erasing and not enough time thinking.
Guess what? It worked. The drawings, all of them, were great. There
were a few lines where they shouldn't have been, but none that ruined
their work.
