We're in the LA area too, we encourage them to try Saturday school at Art
Center in Pasadena or summer school at one of the community colleges. That
way they are working in an environment with adults who expect a slightly
higher level of emotional and artistic maturity. It also removes them from
their comfort zone at the high school where they are surrounded by their
friends and a familiar environment.

We teach life drawing to students younger than 18 with "costumed"
models--i.e. leotards. However, for one of our programs which offers adanced
training in the visual arts for older youth, the issue of using nudemodels
has come up. We operate in a public facility. Does anyone else out there use
nude models for students under 18?
