I am a secondary school visual arts teacher with a class of senior
students Gr. 12 and O.A.C. (Ontario) who are a very mature group. I
would like to provide them with skills in life drawing and figure
drawing. One the colleges requested a former student to display life
and figure drawing as part of their portfolio, something which has not
been an area addressed in the current curriculum.
Has anyone attemped life drawing in their senior secondary school visual
arts program and what are some areas of concern in setting this up. I
do not want this to be perceived in the wrong way by other staff,
administration or students or a "nude" drawing course if this is
possible.
Anyone comments would be helpful.
