I teach 7-12 grade. In my 7 & 8 grade art classes at the end of their
term with me (which only lasts 6 weeks here) they are given a form
which there parents/guardians must sign. This form verifies that the
folder with all projects, grade rubrics, and rough draft drawings were
seen by them. If I don't get the signed form returned to me, I call
the parent to find out if they ever saw their childs artwork. This
prevents art from being thrown away, and usually ellicits possitive
remarks from parents.
