I am a high school teacher and I really like your ideas. I am
always looking for interesting ways to open up students minds
to different ways to use line and shape plus have fun with it.
I just started a project based on M.C.Escher's stairways. I
reviewed 1 point and 2 point perspective and then I gave requirements
for the assignment. Must have a stairway, window, change of perspective,
change of point of view, a hallway that you cannot see the end-only
the beginning, plus value and line variety. They will be
doing scratch board (silver) and then a larger pen and ink of
the same image. The scratch board will be a close up of one
of the most transitional areas in the sketch. So far I am
very impressed. At first the students are intimiated but then they like it.

Again thanks for the idea. I will try it some time.
