I've had to be flexible in the ransom department, so I let them choose
one of these:
a shoe
a bill, as in dollar or higher
a watch
a piece of silver or gold jewelry
Whatever they choose, they must put a description of it on the sign-out
sheet.
Yes. it's a pain, but a necessary one. My kids are very honest as a
group, but FORGETFUL. This helps them either remember or come back when
they notice.
I used to have students turn in the tool but forget the ransom.
Now I'm the only one who can check them off the sign out-sheet just
before the bell.
Hey, you learn to adapt...
