Mark Alexander has a problem that is not new: we expect sometimes too much
(or we expect something and there is nothing).
What I would do in that case?
Start with things to do for the students: drawing, painting, work with clay.
Easy problems, so that success in incorporated. Don't start with theory, not
even with films or slides. In their opinion they come to the artroom to DO
art, not to LEARN about it.
Discuss these works with them and at that moment introduce the new words and
