I teach art to about 400 students weekly, in Campbell,
California. Contrary to what people may think it is not a
dream job. I am continually loading and unloading my art
cart. Things fall off of it during transit and I am often
scrambling to pick them up. But that isn't the hardest
part of my job, it is just one small annoyance. The
hardest part is being a disciplinarian. I would really
like to have more fun with the whole experience but I
spend so much time trying to get students to stop goofing
off. Simply stated, students don't respect my authority as
much as they do their regular teachers.
I am new to the internet and searching for new ideas
for art lessons grades 1 - 5. Sincerely, Carolyn Daily at
