new home page

Just asking people to checkout my personal home page at:

It's still under construction. I need some help in getting graphics from
scanner to home page without losing resolution.Some were scanned from 3x5
transparencies, some from photos.

I am also working on a page for my school and sixth grade students (on
another server). Any ideas that lead the home page in a direction away from
the typical resume' or travelogue style so prevalent on the Web? I'm
thinking about a game/fansasy type of experience.
