Tonight I found another on-line source for art teachers. Called
ART EDUCATION/ADVOCACY, it is a difinitive list (for now), of listserves
for art teachers. You'll probably find at least one listserve worth
looking into. The list is quite extensive and can be found at: Tropics/1009/artedu.html/
I have enjoyed my evenings with the Artsednet listserve. There is
a great diversity of useful and imaginative stuff in it, posted by people
on the cutting edge of art education.
However, Artsednet does present a problem. Does anyone have a hint
for easy storage of and access to the postings so that specific topics can
be looked up again later? I'm having a hard time finding things I want to
look closer at, but I can't find it easily in the mailbox. I hope to
figure out how to organise all this information soon, because I can see the
problem getting exponentially worse for me.
If computers had been available to Michelangelo and da Vinci, it
would be foolish to think they wouldn't have used them. They would
probably have figured out a better filing system!
