Greetings from one who has computer anxiety. I am the art teacher in a
high school who has been given a computer and a printer in the art room. I
am not totally computer illerate; I am just learning . How do I best
utilize this gift? Yes, I use word processing to write up lessons and
assignments, semester reviews and exams. I have let several students work
in Adobe Super-paint when they are finished their other assignments and
have extra time. I have let others explore a CD rom from the National
Gallery in London. I do not feel I am maximizing the capabilities of the
computer.
Please help with suggestions as to how to use one computer in a
class of 25 and to integrate it into my curriculum. I teach Art One, Art
Two and Art 2,3,4 to students with no art in the elementary and a few weeks
in 6th, 7th and 8th grades.
Also, I am doing graduate work and am in the process of writing a
paper on the aforementioned problem and I need references from journals .
I have read and utilized some of the articles on computers in " School
Arts" but I feel I need journal references.
