Re: CD art and my Commercial Art class

It sounds like a great project. Are the students also involved in the
visual and textual images that are included in the CD? I think they
would have a lot to offer and enjoy that as well. They could each buy
their own at a local drug store or music store, the boxes that is. Why
not use the computer to draw and print a disk that fits the box. It
would also be interesting to have students think about what may be the
next generation disk, will it be different?

At the Bellevue Art Museum we are beginning the work of producing a
CD-Rom,it will be interesting to see if we can involve students in the
aspects you describe. I wonder what the designers will think.
