The Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship Program offers up to eight
fellowships each year for students in the final research and writing
stages of their dissertations. An eligible applicant must have a
dissertation proposal approved by his/her doctoral committee and must
be enrolled at an accredited university in the U.S. or Canada. The
fellowships support doctoral candidates whose proposals explore the
theory and/or practice of discipline-based art education or issues that
have significant potential to contribute to the further evolution of DBAE.
The program focuses on visual arts only.
Application deadline for the 1997 program is November 1, 1996. Awards
will be announced by April 1997.
If you cannot attend the NAEA session but would like more information
and/or an application, please send me your snail-mail address.
Thank you,
