Hello, I am an art teacher in the inner city of Chicago to at-risk
children K-6. This is my second year teaching and I am having a difficult
time dealing with discipline and the lack of in my school environment which
is very violent and at times dangerous (outside of school grounds). It is
not uncommon for my students to fear for thier lives around their
neighborhood. Any suggestions would be appreciated for discipline in the
art room. I have a reward and point system set up for the 5th and 6th
grades which is working out ok.

Also, I am looking for sites dealing with cartoonists for my after school
art club. Any insight to this would be cool.

Thanx and I have enjoyed reading the conversations going on out there.
This is exactly what I have been looking for to continue my thinking and
learning about art education.
