As my school district establishes plans and goals for twenty first century
skills, each subject area has been challenged to create a "cornerstone
assessment" for that subject. I am serving on the committee appointed to
design cornerstone assessments in ART, grades K - 12.
Does anyone have experience establishing cornerstone assessments? My
group is really struggling with the concept and is trying to figure out how
cornerstone is different from all of the student assessment rubrics and scope
and sequence that we already have in place.
Apparently this is a new trend, and we are finding very little research
info in the internet.
I would really appreciate any insight and guidance on cornerstone
